The Last Day....

February 18, 2013

I, (Tiffany's mom), thought I had better update her blog since she is coming home tomorrow.  She has had the opportunity to use her musical talents and play for many in Pennsylvania.  Her mission president asked her to take her violin with her everywhere and get into the hearts, minds, and souls of the people.  This last transfer she has had the opportunity to train a new missionary.  She has enjoyed working with a brand new missionary.

They enjoyed eating chocolate covered strawberries.

Two beautiful Sister Missionaries...

This a poem that Sister Stamm posted on her Facebook page on Friday:

THE MISSION
I stared out the window,
The tears still in my eyes,
I saw the friends and those I loved,
...As we said our last goodbyes.
The ride was long and trying;
Two questions plagued my mind.
Do I want the life that's up ahead
Or the one I left behind?
A year and a half is such a long, long time,
For going door to door.
In my reflecting, I thought to myself--
There really must be more.
I dragged myself down off the plane
and stood smiling waiting to meet
The man who turned to me,
Saying, "Sister, go find and teach."

I sit reflecting once again
As this day is my last.
Please, Lord, this isn't fair,
The time goes way too fast!
I stare out the window,
The tears still in my eyes.
I see the elders and sisters and those I love,
As we say our last goodbyes.
The ride is long and trying;
Two questions plague my mind.
Do I want the life that's up ahead
Or the one I left behind?

Thank you Wilmington, Nazareth, Doylestown and all those I have met over the past 18 months for letting me be a part of your lives. My mission is something I will never forget. I have changed for the better and I have loved and felt loved so much. It was beyond worth it and I know what I have taught it true because I have felt it in my heart and seen it in your lives.
With all my love- Sister Stamm
Sister Stamm served well and we'll be glad to have her home.

Email the day after Christmas: Hi--I hope everyone had a great Christmas.  I was going to send pictures for this week since our time is short with being able to call yesterday but I forgot to bring my cord. :(

Yesterday we went to see a reinactment of Washington crossing the Delaware River. Oh man it was cheesy and they did not even go all the way across because of current was so strong. It was more like a little loop and then back to Pennsylvania. But it was quite the adventure.

We had a great Christmas and a lot of fun opening all our presents and such. Thank you everyone for making me feel loved from a far. Have great day. :) Love-Sister Stamm
